Normal? Muscle, joint pain/weakness

I'm 10 wks postop and my lower back, hips, thighs, and entire pelvic region is stiff, tender to touch and achy. Is this normal post op or is it something else. I've felt it on and off since surgery but the last several days have been worse?

Re: Normal? Muscle, joint pain/weakness

Did they take your ovaries? I was just reading about muscle and joint aches as a menopausal symptom. Could that be happening?

I'm sugical Menopausal. Not taking HRTs at this point. Saw compounding pharmacist yesterday and we will be working toward a compound in the next several weeks. I was amazed at how much knowledge he had. So yeah, I guess it could be menopause!! YUCK!!! I feel aweful. Was so hoping to feel batter after surgery, since I had been feeling so bad before hand. Aaaggghhh! Glad to know am not the only one.

Re: Normal? Muscle, joint pain/weakness

I am 12 weeks post op (5th Feb) and too much means I still suffer some what. Yes sore back some times and stomach tender and last few days lots more niggling pain in lower stomach. Bugger when it needs an itch in public as yep cut is still tender against rest of body.
I find if still do too much and especialy bending too often I know its time to slow down and still heal

Re: Normal? Muscle, joint pain/weakness

I too have had some odd joint pain like in my ankles which have never been a problem. I started taking some Joint Maintenance Formula to see if it helps. My right knee feels odd at times like the knee cap fell asleep and is numb when I wake up. It feels better after I exercise but I had to warm up my ankle the other day by stretching before resuming my walk. Very strange.
