Surgery Monday-Still in Hospital

Hi all,
I had my surgery Monday but I am still in the hospital.
I suffered some blood loss going into surgery with a rbc of 9.3 after it was 11.6 in march and came out of surgery 7.6 and then the next morning was 6.3 so I was transfused yesterday and very very weak.
I still have my cath too because my bladder still won't go on its own either. They were thinking of sending me home today but my belly was soft enough for her along with the fact that they think I just needed more time for my bladder to cooperate. I don't mind in that I have lots of kids at home. However, I hate that they only give me darvocet because that stuff does nothing for me, but thanks to my codeine allergy I get none of the good stuff. My back is by far the worst and I went into surgery weighing 123 lbs and now gained 16 pounds of fluid. I sure hope some of this starts shedding off of me soon. I am so puffy.
My appetite is just starting to come back, yesterday I had a cracker in my mouth and fell asleep with it in there because I couldn't stay awake, lol...
My uro/gyn said there was no other option for me besides the hysterectomy and after the surgery she reconfirmed that there would have been no other treatment to treat the atypical cells and also a very large fybroid that went undetected on the back side of my uterus from several ultrasounds and even a cat scan, bladder sling surgery in Dec, the u/s in feb and the d & c in march. I can't believe they didn't see this before.
