2 weeks post-op, 6 weeks post-Lupron - terrible chest pains

I had a dVSH two weeks ago, and had been feeling great up until 3 days ago. Started having heart palpitations at night and tightness in the chest, then this morning I woke up to terrible sharp pains on the left side of my chest.
My doc sent me to the ER, they did an EKG and checked for blood clots in the lungs, but everything was normal. Gave me a shot of morphine, and that just took a little bit of the edge off the pain.
Sent me home with instructions to take Ibuprofen 800mg, 3X/day and see my doc in a week. ER doc thought it might be a spasm in the lining of the lungs from the trauma of surgery - but why now?
Before my surgery, I took 4 rounds of Lupron to shrink my fibroids.
I'm wondering if this could be hormonal and related to coming off the Lupron. Or could it be related to the surgery? Anyone else having anything like this?

I'm so glad you went to the ER for your chest pain. I didn't personally experience the same so I don't have any words of wisdom for you. I hope you've been to see your doctor by now and that you're feeling much better. Please let us know how you're doing!

Thank you, Deb, for the kind words.
I did see my doctor again (primary doc) and she thought it was a muscle spasm or pinched nerve caused by the positioning during the surgery. She did a chest xray just to be sure to check everything. But she was able to definitely rule out anything cardiac or pulmonary.
She gave me a muscle relaxant, and that seemed to do the trick!
I've had 4 good days in a row this week! Yay!!

Great news that your xray ruled out cardiac/pulmonary issues and you're feeling better! I hope you're now on the road to a full recovery with no more hiccups!
