Re: period head ache...no period
I'm only a week post-op but my DR did warn me that I still might have the same pre-period headaches because I kept my ovaries.

Re: period head ache...no period
I am six weeks post op and I have gotten Migraines with my periods for years. sure enough I still have them. TO be honest it actually seemed worse this time I dont know if it is because I didnt have the bleeding and crapping to go along with it so I noticed it more, or if they are going to be worse now. Not a great feeling

Re: period head ache...no period
Any symptoms you had as part of PMS can still occur post hysterectomy from headaches, to bloating, to breast swelling/tenderness, to cravings, and so on and so forth! PMS is related to the ovaries, not the uterus. The only part of a period that is over following a hysterectomy is the bleeding and uterine cramping!
On the bright side, some ladies find their PMS diminishes following a hysterectomy so maybe yours will, too!
Mine initially was worse and over time I can have good months and bad months. This is a bad month!
You can talk to your doctor about options for your PMS if you wish. Mine suggested low dose birth control pills, natural progesterone cream, and/or B6. For the hormonal migraines, I finally started taking a prophylactic medication every day.
