I'm a Hyster Sister

A few weeks ago, before my surgery, my 18 year old son saw me looking at something here on this site and said something like, "What on earth is Hyster Sisters?" I explained what the website was about.

Then another time, he was sitting nearby and he said, "WHAT? is Swelly Belly??"

A couple of days ago, I mentioned something that I couldn't do (I've forgotten what) it was probably some type of housework or lifting something heavy.

He smiled and said, "Oh that's right, you're a Hyster Sister."

I said, "Yes I am!"

I am indeed very thankful to be one.

I second that! I would be lost without this site. It has been wonderful. No matter how one's recovery goes, this site is very helpful because, IMHO, women who haven't been through this really can't understand what we've been through and are going through.

I third that. This site has been the best thing for me. I love not having to be embarrased about some questions and that fact the everyone here understands what you are feeling. I'm so attached to this site I try to jump on when I'm at work just to get my fix.

i am so thankful for this site ..although i found this site after my surgery ... i have been on everyday since ...i recommend this site to many .............i love it i have learned soooo much from here felt others pain and had many laughs ......i believe there is no better way to be educated then by the people living the problem ..real stories ....this site is excellent for all ..the women going through it ..the family and friends to understand it ..and the doctors ( students ) to understand what really is happening here ..a blessing to all of us ................
