swimming

One more question...how long will I have to stay out of the pool? I know swimming for exercise is probably out for a while. But what about just getting in to cool off? GA is July is HOT HOT HOT!

Re: swimming

My doctor said three weeks until I could get into the pool. I can take showers so now (at 2.5 weeks postop) I just go to the pool with my bathing suit on and take a cold shower every now and then. I cannot lift anything for six weeks and cannot carry the cooler...That's a bigger problem

Re: swimming

(((Lisa)))

I wasn't allowed to get in the pool, ocean, hot tub, lake or bathtub (showers were ok) until my doctor released me. It was at my 6 week post-op appointment. I had a TVH. Each doctor is different and that's a good question to add to your list to ask him/her.

Re: swimming

I just had my TVH/BSO and my doctor said no pool, spa or bathtub until 6 weeks post. This is not to keep you from exercising but to reduce chance of infection via your vagina. Ask your doctor!
