Problems at 6 weeks post-op

Hi everyone! I am 6 weeks post-op from a TAH for a solid mass (not cancer thank goodness) and severe endo. I felt great at 2 and 3 weeks, just a little sore in the belly and now at 6 weeks, I am feeling terrible. I am so tired all the time, I have constant cramping and occasional sharp stabbing pains and have had some bleeding. Called the doc about the bleeding and he said it was blood left behind the vaginal cuff. I am just wondering if I should be concerned. By the way, this website is AWESOME!!!! I have learned more from here than I did from my doctor.

Re: Problems at 6 weeks post-op

Sorry to hear you're having problems. I'm 6 weeks post surgery (rectocele, enterocele and vaginal vault prolapse repair.)

When I had my hysterectomy a few years ago, I had a TVH, so I can't comment on recovery issues with a TAH.

I, too, seem to have hit a bump in the road. Not really sure why, but definitely not as good as I was a week or two ago.

Does your doctor not want to see you? I'm going in on Friday to see the surgeon, just to make sure things are on track, and the "pains" are normal healling and not some problem. Do you have a follow up appt. scheduled?
