Bleeding post-op 8 weeks

Hi ,does anybody still have any sort of bleeding this far out? 8 weeks tomorrow? I had my checkup Monday and told the doctor I had some pale sort of bleeding sometimes when I go to bathroom. He said everything looked fine and that it would "probably" go away. He said something about an effect with the robotic surturing. Anyway, now I've more occurrences of this pale watery sort of blood. I'm afraid to get back on my regular exercise program. Thank you very much.

I'm still having issues on and off as well! Going back to doc tomorrow, I think I'll need another silver nitrate treatment.

thanks for the reply. What is a silver nitrate treatment and what does it do?

It can be used to treat granulation. Basically it is cauterizing an area to help promote healing. Good luck!

Thank you. This sounds like what it might need. He said I had scar tissue. I'm pretty certain I popped a suture at two weeks. I will call the office. Thanks again.

I still have a small amount of discharge each day. It's pinkish and watery. It's enough that I still need to wear a pantyliner each day, or I would stain the undies.
I'm getting tired of it.
This is way better than what I had the 1st 6 weeks or so, but I so wish it was all gone.
Glad you asked the question. I was also wondering if anyone else who had surgery around the same time still had drainage.

I am 5 weeks post opt and have spotting when i wipe myself dry after urination.I am still wondering and trying to understand why?Am i over exerting myself or what.Today there was discharge which was reddish/pinkish in colour

I wouldn't worry too much at five weeks. As long as there isn't anything that looks like an infection -- like yellowish mucus. I read in the checkpoint list that this could be normal. My warning is to take it easy. When I went for my second week checkup, my doctor made it sound like I could do everything except lift weights, soak in water, and extreme stuff. He told me I could walk as far as I wanted. So, I went about my daily routine -- carrying briefcase, clutching (car), bending, taking groceries up stairs. Then I guess I popped a suture. Then I took it easy. From reading this discussion, I think you should take it very easy at least until the 6 or 8 week checkup and probably even after that. My theory is that too much movement, or pressure on the abdomen from bending or the like, squeezes the healing tissue, hence the pale blood on the tissue.

Just an update. I went to the surgeon today about my yellowish discharge and spotting and she found a tiny area of granulation and did treat it with silver nitrate. She said things looked much better than at my 6 week check so that's encouraging. Hoping this finally puts an end to things!

Thanks so much to all of you for reassuring me that I'm not the only one. I went into doc's office today and this assistant checked me out and did apply some silver nitrate. She explained that as old cells are sloughed off and new cells form, there can be discharge. I feel better about the whole situation, but I still can't "dive" into exercise -- literally. No swimming, bathing, and I shouldn't do things that stress the abdominal region. Sigh.
