UTI's & granulation tissue 7 months post op! Help!

I have been in pain, off and on, for almost 10 years. I finally had a hysterectomy (total abdominal w/ removal of ovaries) 7 months ago. It was due to adenomyosis and endometriosis. Also found excessive scarring from 4 previous surgeries. I did well for a while... actually had no pain... the main issue was dealing with the hormone adjustment.

Now I am experiencing significant back pain and bleeding again with mild cramping. Dx'd this week with granulation & scar tissue which was treated by removing the granulation tissue and cauterizing with silver nitrate. Also had blood in my urine & am being treated for a bladder infection. This is my second bladder infection since surgery and I had NEVER had one at all in my adult life until now.

Was not given any pain meds by the gyn even though something (either the bladder infection or granulation tissue?) was causing pain. So, I assumed it was just going to go away quickly... or they would have given me something for it... so I didn't ask. It didn't go away and was BAD & the gyn's office was closed. So my (very compassionate) reg doctor called me in medication and even that is not resolving all of the pain. The antibiotics have had plently of time to kick in....

Why is it still hurting? I am so beyond frustrated. I wanted more kids but couldn't live in pain and was told this surgery would end all of that... but it hasn't. I am sad and mad and...

Anyone else dealing with this? Did the issue ever get resolved & are you better now?? What did they determine the pain to be from?

Re: UTI's & granulation tissue 7 months post op! Help!

I am almost 10 weeks post op. at 6 weeks I got the "All clear" I have had sex numerous times, last night i began bleeding. I phoned my dr this morning and I am now back on restriction for 2 weeks becuase of granulation tissue. He said he will take a look in 2 weeks to make sure it looks ok. I am concerned because I am afraid this isnt going to go away that easy.
It seems as if you were mislead (sorry if i sound blunt) I too am an endometriosis sufferer. There is NO CURE. even post hysterectomy pain can reoccur at any time, my dr only calls the surgery a remission option because at any time it could all begin again.
Also the body take atleast a year for it to heal. while we may feel great on the outside and have the all clear to have sex, lift, rub, etc. deep within we are healing. the scar tissue could have formed from lifting too soon or whatever. give your body a year to heal totally and im sure some of the kinks will work out.
My bladder has been acting up ( it was attached to my uterus) the dr said I am still healing, all this incontinence it to be expected for a while. I was schocked to hear this because i feel fine.. just another example of how what we think is ok is really not..
I hope you find some relief soon.
