Update

Had my pre-op testing on the 12th. Took 2 hrs. to have done ekg, blood drawn, urine sample, chest x-ray. Seem to be a lot of hurry up and wait.
Had pre-op physical today (19th) with family Dr. Seems my blood sugar was high on the 12th and GYN is concerned and sugar showed in the urine. I'm diabetic but no meds. Well GYN wanted me put on meds, but family Dr. checked my home testing numbers and they have been going down and are good. So she decided to let the GYN know that she wasn't going to put me on anything and if there is a problem while I'm in the hospital that she would allow insulin shots to lower the count if need be. Also I will be subject to many blood tests while there.
Got the notification from Ins. today and it's a go. Thank God. I was being to wonder, my date is Thursday, 25. Need to be to the hospital at 7:30 A.M. and surgery will be at 9 A.M. if there are no changes. They do out-patients first and anyone staying in the hospital last. So far so good. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't get a call.
The days are getting a little harder each day now. I wish this was over with aready. I'm having a TAH BSO after 13 yrs of problems. Cyrosurgery, 3 bad Paps, D&C( which I was told would take care of the bleeding, funny). My Mother and younger Sister both had cancer and hytereotomies. Mom was clean when she passed away 3 yrs ago and surgery was 37 yrs ago. Youngest Sister had surgery last Nov., 2000 and so far so good. She was told they are sure they got everything. Sure hope so. With my bleeding nearly on month and 3 bad Paps, seeing the D&C didn't take care of things last year (Oct. 2000) and family history we decided it was best just to get this taken care of before I run into worst problems.
Well I guess I've taken up enough of everyone time and it feels good to tell someone everything that has been on my mind.

Thanks for listening.

Hope all goes well

I hope all goes well with your surgery. The waiting's the worst part.

Remember to take it easy afterwards and listen to your body. Get plenty of rest while you can.
