One ovary question

I had a TAH and RSO on 6/21/10. I was left with one ovary so I am not on HRT. I have been feeling very blah and am having trouble sleeping at night. I have no energy and am able to very little other than going for a ride and minimal walking. I get tired very easily but can't sleep. Does anyone else who has one ovary left need to take HRT? I was just wondering if maybe one ovary does not produce enough hormones and that is why I am having issues.

Re: One ovary question

you are only a couple of weeks out. give yourself some time. i only have one ovary too and in the beginning all i did was sleep and rest. i didnt start getting my energy back until i went back to work at 6 weeks, and even then it took several months before my regular level of energy returned. take vitamins and rest for now. it takes plenty of time to feel normal. and no i didnt do hrt. besides it can take 6 months up to a year to fully heal. be easy on yourself. we women expect too much too soon. patience.
