EndoCa: made it through 1st followup!

Thank you, hystersisters, for your support. My 1st followup appt was fine and uneventful. I love my onc so much because she is a hugger. She just felt lymph nodes, did a pelvic, and pap. Says she doesn't expect anything to show up on the pap. I have to go back in 4 months.
The wonderful thing is that I met Jan - one of my hystersisters from this sight at the office. Jan, if you read this, it was SO COOL to meet you! I would love to get together for lunch someday and visit!!

Yes, it was really great to finally meet you. I'm glad that you agree that our doctor is great. My exam, too, was uneventful. I, too get worried each time my appointment comes around. I'd love to do lunch sometime.

Kiele, I'm old enough to be my gyn/onc's mom, too. In fact, her mom came in today while I was there. I'm definitely older than her. Its kind of funny to look up to my onc and need her support when she's probably younger than my oldest child. I used to say that I would never go to a doctor younger than me but boy, did that change! Now, I want 'em fresh!!
Jan, I go back to work on August 12th. Last time I was at the doctor's office, she gave me your number but I was uncomfortable calling. I WILL call in the next couple of weeks and we can schedule a lunch date. Will that work? What's funny is that even before you said anything to me today, I was sitting there thinking you looked familiar. I wonder if we've crossed paths before.

I think it's great that you guys can get together... I have met some wonderful women on this site and have met a few in person. It really helps to be able to talk with someone that "gets it."
