Hair stopped growing on legs/armpits?

Has anyone had their leg hair/armpit hair suddenly stop growing? Ive been ill this last month and feel like my body is not absorbing my estrogen or something. Had my estrogen levels checked and they dropped from 61 to 49.
Also having more anxiety and joint pain-hair loss, headaches-migraines-sinus, fatigue, skin sagging....been also losing tons of hair on my head.
Not sure what is going on..feel awful though. My free T3 thyroid is very, very low so im wondering if that might be some of these symptoms??
Can you feel super ill with low T3 too?

help

Re: Hair stopped growing on legs/armpits?

It could be thyroid. They should check your TSH as well. Sounds like maybe you need est and thyroid both. See what your Dr says, but that would explain things.

Re: Hair stopped growing on legs/armpits?

I remember reading in my research for hormones the following:

low levels of estradiol and androgens - causes loss in eyebrow hair, underarm, legs and pubic area.

loss of scalp hair is due to:
excess testosterone, DHEA, androgen deficiency, loss of estradiol, excess progesterone relative to estrogen, excess thyroid hormones, thyroid deficiency, cortisol excess, or cortisol deficiency

Re: Hair stopped growing on legs/armpits?

Yes. Mine had already changed before I had the surgery and now, I shave only once a week as before I shaved every, single day. Can't say that I'm sad about that. I read somewhere just recently that it is because of the dominance of estrogen if you take hrt. Sorry don't remember the exact source. If I recall corrently (which is questionable these days), it said high E, low T causes hair loss legs, under arms, pubic. High T, low E causes hair loss on head and excess hair on face.
