Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

Happy birthday. I just joined last month because my doctor was talking about a hysterectomy for me. I has turned out I will be starting off with a Novasure but I have a feeling I may still need the hysterectomy.

Celebrating with you ~ 12 years is a milestone, and so is hysterectomy recovery and life after. I love this web sight, I can always find the subject that pertains to every situation I've been through, and the support to find the path i need to be on. God Bless you! I appreciate the time you've taken to keep this going. Happy Birthday

Thumbs up - Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters? Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

What is not to like about your site. It got me thru my surgery with questions answered for me. I knew what to look for and sailed right thru it.
You help a lot of women who are scared at having surgery and if have problems can go here and see what others have done.
Your encouragement is exceptional.
Thank you for all the work you put in to this site.

Happy Birthday Hyster Sisters!!!

I'm fairly new to this site but I have to say the amount of support that has been given has been amazing. It's so nice to find a place where you feel comfortable enough sharing all of your thoughts and feelings on a very sensitive matter. All of the information given is wonderful in helping people feel like they are prepared for what they're facing. I'm beyond happy I found out about the hyster sisters site and I plan to be a member forever. Happy Birthday and thank you for all that you do!

Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HYSTERSISTERS!

WOW - Kathy you did all of the women on here a most wonderful thing by creating this site. I truly appreciate all the work you have done over the years and allowed us to share in your dream.

So, in response to your question: What do you love about HysterSisters ....(and I am going to be fair to all and post only ONE reply)
1) You can register or not. As a lurker, you can still get TONS of information. The information isn't just for sisters. I know a few spouses that needed to get some information and they didn't need to register to find it

2) The diverse group of women on this site speak from the heart, without fear or barriers of ethnicity or religion, because they are all women going through something that has nothing to do with how or where they were born and raised.

3) The gentle reprimands are generally provided with our sisters' health and well-being in mind (CeCe Rose's shopping trip and Mori's suitcase still comes to mind).

4) The site, and the lovely creators and members, all help in getting a princess comfortable, less anxious and better prepared for the journey on which she is about to embark.

5) At any time, day or night, I could turn to my sisters with a question... and get a response. This site has no time zone restriction

6) Though I rarely get onto the site anymore, I have developed relationships with cyber-friends with whom I continue to share my life and hope to meet one day. I am thankful that this site allowed me the chance to do that.

There are many other things that I could list about what I love about this site but I think I touched on the 'important to me' ones.

Thanks, again, Kathy and Happy Birthday!

Re: Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

Happy Birthday Hester Sisters!!!! This website has truly been my salvation in the days leading up to my surgery and after surgery. There are so many things that we, as patients, forget to ask our doctors so we look here for advice and links.

I feel like part of a community. I'm so happy that there is this forum to come to.

Thank you

Hystersisters made going through my hysterectomy a million times easier.

My others sisters made asking questions and answering them not embarrassing. I've recommended Hystersisters to many other women.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HYSTERSISTERS!!!
