Birthday Contest August 2010 - What do you love about HysterSisters?

I love all the wonderful information that I get on this site. With all the voices of the ladies on here, I don't have to feel alone in dealing with the many things I've experienced along the path I've been on since my hysterectomy.

What I love is that I can read what others are thinking and if I want I reply if not I move on. I'm not required to get involved. I like that freedom. Happy Birthday.

I love Hystersisters because it was a great place for me to go and learn about options and to know other ppl were going through the same thing I was.

What I love about Hyster Sisters? The fact that, every August I think of what it was like for me eight--yes, eight years ago--how frightened I was, and how warm and supportive everyone was.
What I love is the information I received, and the knowledge that my sisters went with me to the Castle.
What I love are the reminders of my birthday, my hysterversary, the pillow police, the camaraderie, the fact that I still remember the women who helped me, and the thought of them fills me with warmth and smiles.
And that's barely scratching the surface.

An Anniversary worth celebrating!!! HysterSisters is a wonderful site with so many resources that it is impossible to write down all that I love about the site. A friend referred HysterSisters to me weeks before I had my hyst (TAH/BSO - Apr 2010) and it was definitely a godsend. I couldn't imagine what it would be like had I not been this informed before the surgery. I am forever dedicated to the works of HysterSisters!!!

I love the long term relevance of HysterSisters. I had my hysterectomy 6 years ago and still find very useful information & wonderful support on the site. I'm surprised that I'm still a member and glad that it's available to me. Thanks so much for everything, and good luck to all my HysterSisters!! Thank You Hyster-Sisters!!! I would have been all alone after my hysterectomy if not for hystersisters.Every-step of the day I could post about something and get a reply in a matter of minutes.Sometimes,by answering another sisters question I found valuable advice.
It was great having a wealth of other women in my shoes who had went through what I had.No matter what you read up on before surgery,recovery is full of surprises.I try to pass it on,I am busy now and don't get on everyday like I used to,but I still love ya,sisters!!!

Hi! So glad you are all here! I love that no topic is off limit and that I feel normal here. I have no friends in this situation to ask questions of, and while my mom is here helping she just keeps reminding me that she's never taken hormones or had surgery.
You have saved me from fears and tears multiple times already.
