I did

E.J.

I had an endometrial biopsy in June 2001 which came back as complex hyperplasia with atypia. My regular GYN did the biopsy as a last minute option when she tried a D & C and couldn't do it. (My uterus wouldn't budge enough for her to get access to.)

My regular GYN referred me to a gynecological oncologist who consulted with me and we went ahead with a total abdominal hysterectomy with bilateral-salpingo oopherectomy. They found Stage 1 endometrial cancer which is supposedly fully taken care of by the hysterectomy.

I hope this info is helpful.

endometrial biopsy

I had an endometrial biopsy when I first started seeing my GYN in May of 2000. He did the procedure because I had some abnormal pap tests, and it was the beginning of the process to find out what was causing my very heavy bleeding, severe cramping, etc. This was done right in his office. Thankfully, I didn't have any cancer, and it was determined after my hyst that my problems were due to Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, and chronic Cervicitis (the cervicitis was probably the reason for the abnormal paps).

Good luck to you.
