I felt puffy for a few days. Make sure you are drinking a lot of fluids. As soon as I started drinking and kind of weening myself of meds, I felt less puffy. Hope you are getting lots of rest

The weight gain is just from the IV's etc. Don't worry , that weight is just temporary ! Plus your lack of eating has to do with all your organs are going to be sluggish for a little bit as they too need to "wake" back up post surgery . Appetite will eventually come back and water weight will eventually go ! Are you exhausted all the time? I seem to het exhausted over the littlest of things! Can't even imagine having to lay low for 2 weeks like my doc ordered! Hope you feel better soon !

Re: 3 days post-op and feeling puffy all over...normal?

Drink water as much as possible, it gets all the surgery meds out of your body and helps with your bladder and bowels. The Iv weight comes off very quickly and most people find they are around 4lb lighter after the first week. If you really rest for the two weeks you get back on your feet so much quicker than those super mums who get out of bed and dont allow the static healing time.

Thanks for the reply. Drinking lots has helped, and I am doing my best to take these two weeks off. It's hard to have to be waited on ...though I keep trying to tell myself this may be the only chance I get...enjoy!! Hope all of you out there are taking the time you need. Thanks for the support.
