TAH: Heart Palpitations

I am having heart palpitations but my EKG results were normal. Doc didnt seem too worried about them. I am concerned about going under anesthesia while experienceing them. Has anyone else had palpitation problems prior to surgery? Were there any complications that arose from them during surgery?

I've had heart palpitations for 42 years - and through 7 surgeries (all under general anesthesia) - with no issues related to the surgeries. Mine last 5-20 minutes and occur about 4-5 times per year. I also have little minor ones about every two weeks (just a couple of seconds). I've had all kinds of tests and they cannot find anything wrong. They have always asked me to get to an ER at the time of one - but it's almost impossible since I cannot drive during one.
