LAVH: Pain only, no Dx -- 6 days out - Worried

I don't have a diagnosis, but I am scheduled for Aug 9. I have no doubt I need a laparoscopy because they can't figure out what's wrong. I have uterine pain only, and occassional heavy periods.

My dilemma is not knowing really what will be done, and not finding out until after it's all over. I've been having a sort of "buyer's remorse" about all this. Do I need it? Should I? What if they don't find ANYTHING wrong? What if it turns out to be cancer?

I can't cancel without incurring a $1000 fee (they mean business).

I've been wanting to ask if anybody else had just pain and really no other symptoms or fibroids.

I'm ready in every other aspect...

I am having a LSH tomorrow - main symptom is pain. It started suddenly 2 months ago. They see fibroids, but not large enough to cause pain. I'm way post-menopausal... I have the same fears you have. I know there's a chance the pain is caused by something else - but I had to try something!
