Surgery called off

Hello,

I was scheduled for my hysterectomy on Aug 10th. However, it is now postponed. During my pre-op physical my ekg was abnormal. Through a variety of tests (including a chemical stress test I hope to never repeat) my cardiologist is 90% certain I have a blockage in my heart.

I am scheduled for a cath and stent placement on Monday.

As for the hysterectomy, the cardiologist says he'll clear me for it in about a month.

I'm sorry for the blockage, but I am glad they found it, and found it before the hysterectomy!

Don't let this detour get you down. Everything will happen as it should, in due time.

I'm still in a bit of a shock. It happened very quickly and was very unexpected.

I had an ekg in February of this year with no abnormal results. Now, five months later and this happens.

I'm sure everything will turn out as expected. I'm trying to be positive about it, but that's not always easy.

I am so glad they caught that first. Take care of yourself!

We will be praying for you, my husband just recieved 3 stents ,the great thing is that they caught it in time, before you know it you will be back to normal and will look back and see all the strenth you had to pull you through.
