Fatigue after hysterectomy

Had TAH July 30. Been doing well with a few bumps in the road. Anyone out there experiencing the fatigue I am experiencing today? Otherwise no complaints.

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

I had my TAH/BSO on June 23. The fatigue was huge those first few weeks. In Fact, even at 6 weeks 3days I still tire out very quickly.

However, as each week passes, I find I do have more energy and am able to get more stuff done.

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

I had my surgery May 25 and just when I think I'm back to normal energy wise, I get surprised by fatigue. I was at the beach on vacation this past week and was amazed how tired I was by Wed. Normally, I would have had much more stamina! It is getting better gradually, though!

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

Had my TAH/BSO on June 3rd...thought I was doing pretty good until I went back on Monday (8.5 weeks post op). OMG I am soooooooo tired....and I'm now a little over nine weeks out.

Total recovery takes 6 to 12 months...and now I believe it!

All the best!

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

I am very fatigued at doing the simplest things; such as taking a shower. My surgery was 7/7....so relax and don't push yourself too much. I am much better now than after the first week!
Be well

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

Yes ma'am. I didn't feel like myself until 8 weeks. I still get a little tired with exercise or if it's been a long day. It'll get better.

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

I'm 4 weeks post op and I still take 2 naps a day. Can't wait to get back to normal.

Re: Fatigue after hysterectomy

I am definitely still feeling the fatigue at a little over 2 weeks. At least we have a good excuse to be tired!
