No Exam

I am almost to my 6 week mile stone i have only one question. I have never had an exam, I went into er in april with pain so bad I could barley walk the er dr said I had to come back in the moring because there ultrasound tec had already gone home. I come back and they find a Cyst that is 5cm by 5cm on my left overi. about 2 years ago I had to have the linning of my uters burnt then they took my right overi and tub so cysts are no stranger to me. I get referd to the gyno on call and he does another ultrasound and the cyst is bigger and is now bleeding into my stomach so we decided to do the surgery, Still no exam. July 9th comes I have it done go home next day go in for 2 week check up no exam he tells me to come back in a week I go back and see him the following week still now exam but now he thinks my Gallbladder is bad so I had to go in for a ultrasond I go back in on tue for the test results and to see if I can go back to work at some point shouldnt I have been examed? sorry so long but wanted to make sure u got all the facts. I want to return to work but am afraid cus I dont know how i am healing. Has any one else gone this long with out an exam?

Re: No Exam

I would think that at 6 weeks you should have an exam to make sure everything is healing the way it should. I would def.
question Dr. about it when you go in to see him.

Re: No Exam

I had a 2 week check up with no internal exam. I also had a 6 week check up with an internal. I think 6 weeks is about the norm, but ask your doctor if you are concerned.

Re: No Exam

I would ask the doctor or find a new doctor at this point.
