Re: Surgical Menopause @ 36

Hello!

I'm glad you posted and hope that information and support on this site will be helpful to you.

I checked your Member Survey which indicates that you still have your ovaries. Are you expecting to have them removed? Do you have concerns we can help you with?

We look forward to sharing with you!

Re: Surgical Menopause @ 36

Hey there! I recently ordered a few books that were recommended to me from the lovely ladies here (listed below). I found them on Amazon.com and there were 2 others that I wanted to order (one had to be put on hold) that you might find interesting as well-also listed. They touch specifically on sudden menopause and menopause at a young age. (I'm 32 and have been on HRT for 4 years now)

Screaming to be Heard: Hormonal Connections Women Suspect, and Doctors Still Ignore by Elizabeth Vliet

Hormones and Your Health: The Smart Woman's Guide to Hormonal and Alternative Therapies for Menopause by Winnifred Cutler

Hormones, Health, and Happiness: A Natural Medical Formula for Rediscovering Youth with Bioidentical Hormones by Steven F. Hotze (this was recommended to me because I was asking for specific info on bioidenticals)

The ones I was interested in:

The Premature Menopause Book:: When The "change Of Life" Comes Too Early by Kathryn Petras

Before Your Time: The Early Menopause Survival Guide by Evelina W Sterling & Angie Best-Boss

I just didn't have enough money to order the last one, but plan to in the future.

I used to be confused, too. Read some of those books that Vega recommended! You may be able to find some of them at your local library or maybe they can get them for you from other libraries in their circle. I highly recommend educating yourself on hormones. There are lots of great articles on here about hormones, too! Hugs!!
