TVH: I'm set for September 2nd!

I have abnormal uterine bleeding. I had ablation in May but it didn't work. Today the Gyn said my best bet is a TVH. He's taking everything but my ovaries. He said the cervix needs to go also so that I won't have anymore bleeding issues at all.

I'm actually EXCITED! I'm so ready to be finished with all this bleeding all the time

I think I'm jealous! Sounds like you just called up and got an appointment to have this done!

When I heard the news about a hysto, i was so excited and relieved I actually teared up a bit! Weird, but I've been dealing with this mess for 11 years.

Congrats on your date, I will follow you 5 days later!

Wow, that really IS a quick turnaround! I'm sure it'll be nice to not have to wait too long, and not have the extra time to think about it too much.

Well I live in a small town and we have 6 Ob/Gyn's here. You usually see the doc one week and get surgery the next. I'm so excited and happy to get it done so soon! My last cycle finally stopped and I'll have the Hyst before the next one is due to start!!!

I am having my VH on Sept. 2 also! I had a D&C in March and it didnt help at all. I went back to obgyn on August 17 and we decided this was my best option. I also have Multiple Sclerosis and have heard that having a hysterectomy may relieve some of my MS side affects, Im sooo excited! Good luck to you

Sept. 2nd here also. I had a failed attempt at ablation on Tuesday, and got an appointment for my LTH while I was waking up. I am glad I don't have to wait any longer than I am. I have been miserable long enough. I am freaking out on and off, but I am not going give control of my life to no stinkin' uterus. It's days are numbered. Put me down for the mass prison break on Sept. 2nd! Freedom, here we come.
