"Mother Nature visit"

I just started the last period of my lifetime.

How did you react to that when it came to your last monthly?

Re: "Mother Nature visit"

It almost made it easier to deal with knowing that it would all be gone soon. I think I'm going to have a small party for myself this month...right around the 18th or so to celebrate and begin to enjoy the "new"me

Re: "Mother Nature visit"

Ok, I am due on Wednesday, the day of Pre-op, surgery scheduled for Friday, THIS Friday. So strange to me. They will be taking my uterus right in the middle of a period????? How is that possible and will it have odd effects. My mind is spinning. In any event, I do believe this will the final period, or should I say last month really was the LAST one? Also, I am in a good amount of pain right now. It is just what I needed. Oh yes, sweet pain, reminding me of why I am doing this on Friday. I needed this pain for moral support.

That's what I want to know. Since the appearance of my fibroids from hell, my periods last like 10 days or longer and if I did my math right, I should be on my period during my surgery date .

I have a raging migraine and unbearable backache right now (par for the course every single month) and I have still had a small smile knowing this should be the last time I am made to suffer like this. I realize the surgery will not solve all my problems, but just the thought of no horrific backaches, blood clots, migraines and hopefully, no more pms...makes me want to dance through the pain

Re: "Mother Nature visit"

Mine hit 2 days before surgery and I just figured it was par for the course (same thing happened when I had my lap done). However, I was stoked knowing it would my last one ever. If I hadn't had so much to do and felt so awful I woulda done the "happy dance".

Day of surgery, went in with cramps and bleeding and came out feeling awesome (tired, but awesome). They gave me lovely mesh panties in the hospital as well as pads (so thick it felt like a diaper!).

I did have some tenderness in my breasts this last week, and found I was emotional, looked at a calendar and realized I woulda been having a period. So PMS symptoms still exist (kept ovaries) but not near as bad as pre surgery. Wishing you uneventful surgeries and speedy recoveries!

Re: "Mother Nature visit"

I had my last period within two weeks of surgery. It was terrible, I could take nothing stronger than regular Tynelol. I ticked, and there was no sorrow in realizing that it was the last one.

Re: "Mother Nature visit"

I had mine last week, it was a reminder of why I am doing this, having TAH. Though really at this point the pain never stops. and my uterus and fibroids are pressing up against my spine. I dont know if I actually processed that it was my Last period. I went for the Pre-Op Doc visit today. And my surgery Is Thursday. I am wondering how I will feel waking up from surgery.

My surgery is Friday too and I have been asking myself that question what happens if I start. I had mine late last month and it ended on the 4th of this month so maybe I won't have one...
