Hip pain/Lower back pain 5 months post-op

Hi everyone! I had a TAH with ovaries removed 5 months ago.....I am feeling pretty good(actually I feel the best I have in years) except for this constant ache in my lower back. It feels like I constantly have to stretch it out. It gets so bad after a long walk or just being on my feet for too many hours in a day. My left hip also aches and if I move a certain way it feels like something inside is tearing. I never ever had problems with my hips before surgery and the only problems I had with my lower back before was just before my period was gonna start.

Anyone else experiencing any of this stuff? Can anyone shed some light?

I will be 3 months post-op tomorrow and I have had right hip pain since my surgery. It gets pretty bad and I am not able to lay on my right side for more than 30 minutes max at a time. My Gyn kept putting me off about it so last week I went to see my PCP and she did some testing and found out I had severe Osteoarthritis in my hip and all up and down my spine. I was very surprised as I am 45 years old and have never ever had any problems before surgery. I had a LATVH and she said the way they have to manipulate your legs caused it to flare up and she did also say that I have some inflamation in the hip joint which is due to a combianation of the surgery and the arthritis. Hope you get it figured out soon!

It can also be your Round Ligament trapped in a bit of scar tissue.

I would discuss with my surgeon - get a course of treatment going so you don't have to live with the pain - Let us know what you find!
