Frustrations of the 3d post-op week

Hi everybody!
What a wonderful site! It sure helped me a lot by answering questions,elevating my mood,slowing me down when the sudden attack of "There is nothing I can't do! I am a Superwoman!"attitude will be too overwhelming.
Well, I am on my 3d week. My total VALH was 09/07/10. And yes, it's like one step forward and 2 steps back. Headaches,backaches,low energy...
I am 50,was half way through menopause before the surgery,with less frequent periods and (finally!!) subsiding hot flashes.
After the surgery during the second week my hot flashes came back and increasing in severity and frequency ever since.
Totally against HRT! Taking Vit E 800mg and Black Cohosh 100mg.
Any suggestions??

Did you keep your ovaries? If so they could have gone into shock causing some of your symptoms. Mine went to sleep for 2 months & once they woke up the hot flashes & night sweats went away. I hope you find some answers soon & feel better.
