4 weeks post op and spotting???

Hi sisters....kind of freaking here. I am 4 weeks post op TAH and have not bleed at all - not one drop. I have light colored discharge for the past 2 weeks but not heavily. Today it is heavier and it light pinkish.

We cleaned our house yesterday and I was up and moving for several hours but I was careful not to lift anything to heavy. Most was bending, picking up, throwing away and stuff like that. I am a little sore today but not bad. More like I have used muscles that I havn't used in a while.

So what is this about? Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: 4 weeks post op and spotting???

Hi, Whitney. We haven't been able to talk much since our operations. I have bled the whole time, from about day 2. I had an infection and the bleeding got a lot worse, then back to a light brown to light pink. I have had a pantiliner on since day one though. It drives me nuts!!!

I really wouldn't worry about it, though. Unless there is a fever, bright red blood, clots, and you fill up over a pad an hour, I wouldn't worry about it. My doctor told me up to eight weeks of bleeding is possible, if not more. Good luck!

Thanks Colorado. It is just kind of strange that now it starts. Was just a shock to see. No fever no clots and not that heavy.

I hope your infection is gone and that the bleeding stops soon.

Re: 4 weeks post op and spotting???

Me, too! Even though we haven't been given the "ok" for sex, I don't want to still be bleeding when that comes in 12 days! Yes, I'm counting down, lol. The infection came about 9 days post op. I was in so much pain; it was awful. But, it is cleared up now, and I feel almost back to normal. I notice that when I do a little more than I should, the bleeding goes a little more pink, so I just have to keep an eye on how much I do. I hope you stop bleeding, too. Even just a little bit is a hassle!

Re: 4 weeks post op and spotting???

My nurse called back and said that it was ok and repeated pretty much everything you said. Which I kind of figured but it still freaked me out since i have not bleed at all.
It is still going but the stuff hit the fan at my house again and I really havn't sat down until now. So maybe tomorrow I can take it easy and it will stop.

And believe me - I am counting down also. My husband has the date circled on his calendar at work. I was in his office the other day and a farmer asked why that date is circled in red and my DH looked at the farmer very straight faced and said because that is the day I get to have sex again. My face mut have turned 15 shades of red because the farmer did not laugh until he looked at me. Luckily the farmer is a friend as well as a coustomer.

Re: 4 weeks post op and spotting???

Hi ladies!

I was the same way. I went three weeks with no spotting or bleeding, then I was cleared to go back to work and started bleeding a lot! I think I over did it in my first week back to work. So I took another week off. I have bled a few times since then, and like Colorado said, I just wear panty liners now for that 'just in case' protection.

Now I'm just hoping the pain will go away. I feel like I have constant menstrual cramps. It drives me crazy!
