adenomyosis - robotic surgery set

was diagnosed with adenomyosis via ultrasound in August. Saw a gynocologist and was very pleased, but could not get biopsy done in office as the cervix was closed and not allowing normal biopsy. Set up sergical biopsy and settled for waiting for any second surgery until later in Nov. Also set up appointment with urologist to see later in October.
Went for second opinion doctor and liked this doctor even more than the first. Setting up da vinci hysterectomy in mid October vs. sometime in the spring with other doctor. Very glad I went to a urogynocologist. I also have stress incontinence. My uterus is huge like I am 4 months pregnant and pressing on the bladder. It also hurts to lay on my stomach. I will also get a surgical 'sling' for the bladder to stop the leaks. The doctor was excited to give me a new lease on life. I was able to see the ultrasound results and the doctor reviewed the pictures and what they meant. I felt like prayers were alnswered today.

Re: adenomyosis - robotic surgery set

Sounds like you are very satisfied with the care that you received and that you are comfortable with the decisions that were made.

Being prepared is one of the best things that you can do for yourself..........

I can tell you that once I finally made my mind up I was ready to get it done, and the prospect of having to wait several months would have really bothered me. I know that sometimes things can't be helped, but I am a worry wart as it is.....

Having a positive attitude helps things along as well...........
