Climara patch itching :(

I've had my patch on for 6 days and it's just now starting to itch.... just a little. I'll change it on Saturday, but I'm wondering if this is how it starts? I've heard a lot of women complaining of itching, then they have to end up switching to something else. I know I've only been on mine for 6 days, but so far NO problems at all!!! I don't want to give up my patch, it's my new BFF.

Re: Climara patch itching :(

mine gets itchy when its close to the time to change it.
My theory on that is that your body has used up most of the estrogen and all that is left is the glue. thats my own idea. No dr. ever told me. I change my patches a few days early and don't get so much anymore.

Re: Climara patch itching :(

Hi

The Climara patch also gives me an itchy rash on about the 6th day. I do know that I have an adhesive sensitivity and was told that was probably why.

When I switched to the Vivelle Dot, and changed every 3 1/2 days, I didn't have that problem as long as I placed the patch in a different spot each time. That is what is recommended anyway.

You may want to consider that option.
