Post-op bleeding after robotic hysterectomy

Still bleeding 12 weeks post-op. Possible hematoma. Anyone experienced this?

I think it would be a good idea if you let your doctor know that you are still bleeding. I was not aware that bleeding would occur that late with the DVH. I was told that once my surgery was over I would recover with a pad and that I would spot for maybe the next day then it would be over unless I did stuff I should not be doing. My recovery interms of the bleeding/spotting went just as doctor had explained. I have not bleed or spotted since 24 hrs post op. So my advice to you would be to call your doctor and get an appt. My spotting began 2 weks post op. They have done 2 silver nitrate treatments over the past 4 weeks. I just saw doc Thursday and she scheduled an ultrasound on Monday to chek for possible hematoma. Cuff seems to be healed but don't know where bleeding is coming from!
