I have a lump in my abdomen

I noticed after my surgery (total hysterectomy/abdominal. Sept. 14) that there was a hard lump, maybe the size of a marble, in the middle of my stomach, a few inches below my belly button. I asked my doctor about it, and he thought it might be accumulated blood clots? I guess when they open you they "push back part of the facia"...
I see him in a month again so he measured it and we'll check again. I guess he'll do a cat scan if needed/concerned.
I have also had 2 c-sections previous to this surgery. Has anyone ever had a lump after c-section or hysterectomy?

One thing that came to mind is a hernia. Other ladies have posted that a lump appeared following their surgery and it turned out to be a hernia. I would guess your doctor has really good reasons why he thinks it is a blood clot and hopefully it resolves with time!

that's the first thing that came to my mind! My doctor says it's not a usual place for a hernia...he said it would be higher or lower. We'll see how this progresses!
