Hot flashes with ovaries 7 days post op

I am seven days post op and I am hot all the time.. I usually am hot anyway. But now, I am sweating and I don't have a fever. I was chalking it up to the humidity but I am still wondering if this is normal, or if it is humidity.

I was like that too for the first week and a half....I'd be fine and then the back of my head would be drenched with sweat!
I'm entering week 3 and that seems to have calmed right down so maybe my 1 ovary that I have left is settling in. My doctor said that was to be expected and was surprised I wasn't having hormonal mood swings to go along with it all.

I had them also for 4-5 weeks after I asked my Dr. he said totally normal he told me it's like your ovaries go to sleep for a while after surgery. I know hotflashes are no fun but hang in there for a few weeks it'll get better

I have my ovaries but had hot flashes a few times early on as well. Hormones are all out of whack after surgery like this and everything should equalize as your body heals. I'm 5 months out and haven't had one in 3.5 months.

One thing's for sure, I'll never blow off hot flashes again now that I've experienced them!

snap im 3 weeks post op and have one ovaryleft and i found that the first two weeks i was having hot sweats and flushes, i have had none this week, i was also told that ur ovary goes into shock after surgery and then gets goin again hang on in there

Same for me, I started getting them about a month after surgery and they lasted for about a month. Horrible! Makes me nervous for when menopause actually occurs, but I'm fine now.... I actually kept a battery operated hand fan at my desk for when they hit!

Ok- glad to hear they are normal. I have both my ovaries, and I've been having hot flashes too. I'm 8 days post-op, and feel like I'm on fire half the time! I'm usually super cold all the time, so this is super strange for me.

Glad I'm not the only one and it's normal.
