Re: Sleep Disturbances

Tenacious, My experience was similar to yours, but I am 6 months this week and I am doing much better. I still have some hot flashes and some nights when I can't sleep but they are fewer and fewer and farther between. Some women tell me they no longer have their own personal summer and others in their 80s who do. I guess everyone is different, but they all said it DOES get better.

Re: Sleep Disturbances

I'm really not adverse to HRT. My family has such a history of heart disease and I am on Lipitor (20 milligrams) so it's really in my best interest to try and get through this w/out HRT. I'm managing well and things are definitely better--last night I slept pretty good. The thing is, my hot flashes have deminished to the point of me handling them well, it's the insomnia that gets me; and even that seems to be a little more spotty now instead of every night. I also have the luxury of sleeping in if I need to. Anyway, it seems there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Take care

Thanks for any info

Hi Flowerboat,
there must be someone near you that does bioidenticals..
I live in Sydney Australia and there are doctors near me..Florida, USA is a much bigger place! If not, you can order them via the phone..there is a menopause clinic here that sends them to all parts of Australia..there must be a place like this over there too!
Is the Estrogen pump working for you?
If it is use it!
My sleep is completely stuffed and my nerves are shot now
too. Good luck with your search for bios!

Re: Sleep Disturbances

Thanks I'll keep checking. Not sure how I would know exactly what I would need and how to find that out.
Yes the estrogel is ok for now I'm just a little concerned after learning that the estrogen can promote regrowth of endometriosis! I certainly dont want that back!
So much to learn! And going into surgery I was only to have two cysts removed from ovaries so hadn't researched any of this
thanks for the info
