Bleeding post-op 18 days

I have had very little pain with this surgery. It's been a blessing! I had more pain PRIOR to the surgery then I did beginning the day after. However, I have had discharge that went from off-white to brown then brownish pink. Then on the 18th day I started bleeding! Surprised me so much that my first thought was "great, I just started my period!" It isn't enough to fill a pad, but it's disturbing all the same. I am still bleeding a little and I'm now 20 days post op. I stayed in bed most of the day yesterday to see if that would help! Any ideas?

You may be overdoing. I know I had some kind of bleeding for several weeks. I would let my doctor know if you continue to bleed and it doesn't lighten up.

my discharge paperwork stated if bright bleeding, call the doc. you may have overdid it, but it should be more of a brownish if it was the "healing discharge". better safe than sorry! sorry you having this. Good luck.
