Nervous about surgery

Ok I not sure what I am doing on here. I would love to talk to women about this surgery. Doctor has me scheduled for a LAVH but because of 3 Csections it will most likely be full abdominal.

Re: Nervous about surgery

Hi Mimi and CDBear. It look's like we are all scheduled for November.
Mimi, I am scheduled for LAVH as well. I had a c-section followed by a vbac, then 2 yrs ago, my right ovary, fibroids and adhesions were removed laproscopically. At that time I also had the TOT sling. I have some apprehension about TAH.
Mimi, are you thinking TAH because of potential adhesions?
CDBear, what surgery are you scheduled for?
Praying for precise surgeries and swift recoveries for all!
(((hugs)))

All I know at this point is that it will be a vaginal surgery. Whether he plans a lap-assisted or not was not discussed, but will be at my pre-op appointment with him.

I have a list of questions a mile long, so I know I'll be in there quite a while. He's used to that from me, though. Every visit I've had with him, I've had a pad with questions!

Re: Nervous about surgery

Hi and My surgery was a LAVH. My doctor performed surgery at 7:00 am on a Friday morning and I was home by 5:00 that afternoon. I am very happy that I was able to have this type of surgery. I am sending you best wishes
Hugs,

Re: Nervous about surgery

I had LAVH/BSO over 7 months ago. I had surgery at 8 am on a Friday and was home the next day. My recovery was easy. Actually the ovulation/period pain before surgery was worse than any recovery pain I had. I am so happy with the easy recovery and the way I feel now. It was the best thing I did for myself.

Good Luck and wishing you a quick and easy recovery like mine.

Re: Nervous about surgery

Hi Everyone, I was looking for where to introduce myself but couldn't find it... oh well I guess I'll just jump in here if that's OK. I just found out I will need a TAH which I am scheduling for January. Have a huge fibroid. Very nervous since I have never had surgery except for a tonsilectomy. Never had a c-section.
This seems like a great forum to meet others going through the same thing!!
