hormone levels

Ok I'm confused


I was told by my doctor that I have to take hormones post surgery... now do they test your hormone levels prior to surgery since everyone has different levels, or do they just give you a standard dose and hope it works for you??

Anybody know what to expect?

There really is no need to test levels pre surgery. For one; many of our issues can be caused by hormone imbalance, I certainly would not want to duplicate how I felt before my surgery. Second, our needs post hyst can be totally different after.

It can be a matter of trial and error. For some women, the trial works the first time, for others we need to do some tweaking to find what is going to work for us.

I would suggest that you read the articles at www.hormonejungle.com That will give you a good starting point.
