Calcifications cervical cuff

Anyone have any experience with calcifications in cervical cuff? Had a pelvic ultrasound last week and they recommended an MRI to check out possible cystic lesion and they mentioned calcifications in cervical cuff? See endo specialist on 11/16 but wanted to know if anyone else had experience with this.

Re: Calcifications cervical cuff

Calcifications on MRI and CT may just be benign spots were scarring has occured, bleeding in that area after surgery or cause for concern ( annual pap smears recommended). It could easily be the way the cuff healed and depending on symptoms a revision needs to be done.

I would wait till appt. And see what your Dr. has to say.

Re: Calcifications cervical cuff

Thank you for the information. Trying not to stress myself out. Not finding much information on the internet. My logic is that if a doctor has not called me immediately about a finding then it must not be emergent and is okay to wait. Going to be switching by regular gyn since she has not been responsive to my concerns and has not been doing pap smears because I don't have a cervix. Endo specialist provides regular gyn care so might transfer to him if I am happy with our consultation later this month. <big sigh> Had hoped my hysterectomy would prevent new issues from arising.
