I'm annoyed

I had a follow-up appointment on Monday and my doctor did a vaginal ultrasound. He wanted to check on a blood clot that showed up on the ultrasound I had last week. Good news is that the blood clot is gone. What I'm annoyed about is learning that my ovaries are covered in cysts. For years I've been asking my doctors (I've had a lot because of being an Army wife and moving around all the time) about PCOS and I never got a clear answer about whether or not I had it. Now I find out that my ovaries are covered in cysts! If I would have known that before surgery, I would have told my surgeon to just take them too. I'm so aggravated!

Thanks for letting me vent...

Re: I'm annoyed

I wonder if the cysts were there at the time of your surgery. On an ultrasound a month before my surgery my left ovary had a large cyst. By the time of my surgery that cyst was gone but my right ovary and tubes had cysts and the doctor removed them all during the surgery but left my ovaries......i would sure be asking your surgeon if the cysts were there during the surgery and why he didn't remove them. I am so sorry.

Re: I'm annoyed

Oh wow, well I'm shocked the Dr didn't say to you once I get in and I see your ovaries are not healthy I will take them too. Thats what my Dr told me, I thought I may end up with one ovary but noooooo! I had asked for a photo of my departed parts, the photo of my inners showed my uterus was HUGE my ovaries were FILLED with cysts and one as big one size of a baseball hanging off completely, man if that big one burst UGH THE PAIN!!!! I am sure have PCOS, even if you remove your ovaries you continue to have it. SUCKS.
