Abdominal hysterectomy

It has been two weeks today since my total abdominal hysterctomy. I have been feeling a pulling sensation on the left side of my incision. Is this normal? Also, 3 days ago I sat at the computer doing school work and woke up in the middle of the night with rectal pressure. Could this be from sitting too long?

Hi Cheri - I would suggest that you call your doctor and tell him/her about these new symptoms. I seem to recall a light pulling on one side of my incision, but no recollection of the pressure - may very well be from sitting too long. I know I changed positions as often as possible - sitting, laying down, shuffeling around a bit.

Best bet - keep your doc informed!
