Non-prescription alternative to Vagifem for dryness?

Are there some alternatives, non-prescription, to Vagifem. Now that I can't take Vagifem, due to side effects, I'm looking for an alternative. And I reallly don't want to chance any prescriptions any more. Someone mentioned vitamin E. How does that work? Cream? Take the vitamin? Something else?

I had vulvadynia prior to surgery and this involved vulva pain and burning/itching..my specialist beyond giving me Ovestin cream to use which I believe is unavailable in the US also suggested using Evening Primrose Oil on the skin..I still use this to help. Also taking a bath (that is if you are able to yet!) and putting oatmeal in a stocking sock and letting in soak in the warm water before you get in helps to soothe the skin..this advice was from a dermatologist..this helps too!

You can Google Carlson Key-E suppositories. They are natural and might be worth a try. Also if you have a health food or vitamin store, they may have alternatives.
