LAVH When is it ok to drink alcohol?

I've just had a LAVH (yesterday!), and it went really well -- pain very manageable, they gave me NSAIDs via IV in the hospital, and now I'm home and on ibuprofin. I have a scrip for percocet but have not needed it. I know that mixing alcohol and percocet is a Bad Idea, and I'm not planning to go there...but if it turns out that I can manage with just the ibuprofin, how long is a safe wait post-op before having a glass of wine with dinner?

I'm glad that you're doing well after your surgery!

I like a glass of wine with dinner too, but haven't had any since the surgery. Alcohol weakens the immune system, slows healing processes and can impede the recovery from surgery.
You might want to check with your doctor for his/her recommendation.
