Still sore tummy at 5 weeks post op

I was 5 weeks post op yesterday and I still have two spots in my horizonal incision that seem to be red. Seven days ago I went to the dr. (not my own surgeon but his side kick surgeon) and he said I had a yeast infection of the incision, gave me meds to take for 7 days, and a vaginal yeast infection cream to apply to the incision. Does look a little better, as if the yeast infection has been cured but the two spots about an inch each, of the incision is still new looking. I will be seeing my own surgeon on 11/16 who I really like, but until then any suggestions? Wouldn't neosporin work? Then my next dilemma is that my belly is still sore to the touch. Is this normal after 5 weeks. Other than that I have move energy now than I've had in 10 years. :-)

Thanks in advance for all you wonderful ladies who have held my hand through this.

Still sore tummy at 5 weeks post op

Wanted to say hello! "HI!"
I know the sore tummy is normal. I have it too and I don't have an incision! BUt there are times it feels like it. Dr said incision or no....it is going to be sore for awhile.
The neosporin is what we used in the hospital for incisions yrs ago. I know it is safe as long as the incision is not wide open. I used it on my dh this yr for his abdominal incision. Cleared the infection right up! NOt much help on all of this I know. Perhaps someone who has had direct exp. will be along soon~
Love and hugs
