Exercise post Hys and VVF Repair

It's been 9 mos since my hysterectomy and 7 mos since a laproscopic VVF repair. My doctors told me they had to remove a load of adhesions in my stomach and the repair surgery took 6 hours. I'm antsy to do some kind of ab work but petrified of forming more adhesions. I was told I can no longer run on the treadmill either or it will cause a hernia. Has anyone had a VVF repair and successfully begun an abdominal workout w/o complications (i.e., adhesions forming)? Or gotten back on the treadmill? I want to speak to a physical therapist to ask what is a safe and acceptable type of workout post-op but figured I'd check here. Btw, I'm still experiencing bladder spasms (which actually pull at and cause aching in my vulvar region) and swelly belly off and on. I must admit though that sex is better than it ever was and I'm far more sensitive there than before so I'm grateful for that. Any responses would be most welcome. I MISS lifting weights and running!

My prayers go to everyone who is still recovering. I'm still reminding myself each day that this was two surgeries in two months and trying to pamper myself but I want pampering to include some kind of healthy workout. Namaste all.
