15 months post-op, 4 days post-op minus ovaries & appendix

I am sure I am not the only one who has had to have her ovaries out after having a divinci-hysterectomy 15 months ago. I am 4 days post-op and can't believe I have the swelly belly all over again. Doc says I can go back to work but I am really wondering if it is wise or not. Glad to have the pain gone from 1 calcifyied right ovary and 1 left ovary with a hemorraging cyst, & as a bonus am minus my appendix.

So I guess hormones are next. I sure have a case of feeling sorry for myself. Guess my doc will clue me in on Thursday.

This happened so fast I didn't even have time to research this one. I thought I had a bladder infection, boy was I wrong. Think I surprised even the doctors on this one.
Anyway any advice? Could use some.

I don't do well with sitting around. I am always moving.

This is the pits, especially around Christmas. I am a hairdresser and this is my busiest time of the year.

So sorry that you had to go through surgery again! If I am reading your post right you had both ovaries removed Wednesday and your doc wants you to go back to work Monday? I had my right ovary, appendix, and adhesions removed and I was off for 3 weeks. Even when I have had simple laps for just adhesions I think 2weeks is the shortest amount of time that I have been off. If you are not feeling up to going back give them a call. As a hairdresser you will be standing on your feet for a long amount of time. Maybe you could start back just working half days? You don't want to rush into anything and cause damage. On a good note, my swelly belly didn't last near as long as with the hyst! Best of luck to you!!! I hope that things continue to improve for you!!!
