Wet vagina

It has been 5 mths since my surgery. I was told I would be drier in the panties and in the vagina area. I have seen no change. I am still wet and still have to wear a panty liner sometimes. I also have a slight order sometime. What is this?

Re: Wet vagina

I never have an order - unless I eat or drink something that is naturally strong - like garlic or I over do it on coffee. However, I too have this wetness. For me, I think it's hormones trying to level out. It's very distracting and makes me uncomfortable in public settings. And (sorry if TMI) it makes sex awkward.

Re: Wet vagina

I dont have an odor unless i eat a lot of protein (I figured that out by a process of elimination) but im ALWAYS wet. I notice it after I exercise the most. It doesnt bother me that much as long as its not urine (tmi sorry!!) which my dr asked me to check for.

Im thinking that once I can have sex, it'll be a good thing! Maybe we wont have to use lube. In the meantime, I wear a liner when I workout now. Just one of those things I guess.

It could be bacterial vaginosis. If it is, you'll need to see a doctor. The treatment is antibiotics. Take care.

Re: Wet vagina

I will find out. I just wish it was a little drier. Sometimes I think it is my bladder linking.

Re: Wet vagina

it could be your bladder. Then you can just do kegels to help strengthen your muscles down there. Thats what my dr told me if I start to leak urine. And honestly...I think if you had bacteria vaginosis, you'd know. It has a strong odor! But never hurts to call your dr and have a culture done

Re: Wet vagina

without sounding like TMI, i have always been a little on the 'moist' side. and i thought after surgery i would be a little drier as well. but i think im about the same. i do have a little wetness during the day but gave up panty liners after surgery. i have been checked for all types of infections, even recently, but theres nothing wrong. i guess its just the way i am. altho, when i am in 'a turned on mood' it does seem to get a little ridiculous....but oh well....

Just a quick note...I had bacterial vaginosis (pre-op) and had no odor, just some extra discharge. My doctor told me that's what it was during an exam. It went away after a course of flagyl.

Oh! I've had it twice and I KNEW it lol! it was unmistakeable. I would hope that just being wet wouldnt mean you have bv because I'd always have it.

I guess the best thing for her is to see her dr.
