At the hospital and Surgery is Cancelled!!

Well I woke up and the stuffiness I had been feelng the last few days was gone!! So off at 4:45 am to the hopital for a LTAH. Then after all the paperwork we find out I have a temp of 99.6 so they cancelled the surgery and sent me home! I made my husband take me out to breakfast and then a nap. Now I'm having really bad cramps and feel like crying They said they will call and reschedule in 2 weeks or so... so I'm stuck on this side of the boards Dang, I was sooo ready but at least I get to enjoy my clean house this week-end!

Re: At the hospital and Surgery is Cancelled!!

Nonni, I am so sorry you had a cancellation. Waiting IS the hardest part and to be waiting again when you least expected it can't be nice. Here is to hoping the next two weeks fly by and your pain goes away even faster.

Re: At the hospital and Surgery is Cancelled!!

Ohhhh Nonni I'm so sorry. Just think though you handled it with poise and grace. Well I'm assuming you did....cause if it'd been me they would have had to carry me out bawling and clinging to my gurney begging them to get it over with anyway. So at least you handled it better than I would've.

Good luck and hang in there...

Nonni, My surgery was rescheduled 3 times. I know how you feel. Just hang in there and the surgery will be performed.

Re: At the hospital and Surgery is Cancelled!!

I'm worried about that. I have a chronic low grade fever due to inflammation from arthritis and possibly the endo and adenomyosis. How ironic if they cancel my surgery if the fever is due to the very problem I'm having surgery for.

Well I guess the doctors knew best...I woke up this morning (at 10 am) feeling horrible. Glad I'm not in recovery and going through this.

Re: At the hospital and Surgery is Cancelled!!

Nonni -

Sorry this happened and you have to wait awhile.

One "administrative" thing to do is to take your surgery date out of your profile and enter the new one. That way you'll be on the calendar correctly and will get invited to the correct recovery thread.

If you have issues you can start a thread in tech help and they will help you.

as you go through the waiting game again.

G.
