Weather may postpone surgery

It figures that after waiting 3 years to get this done, a major snowstorm would hit Birmingham, AL right before my surgery.
We were told that it would be very unlikely that the surgery would be canceled and they would not know until early Monday morning. But my doctor is expected to be there because of course, babies do not wait. So, we have to pay for a hotel room near the hospital and then hope that the operation proceeds as scheduled. I'm going to be so upset if it's canceled after I've done my bowel prep a day early spent money on a hotel room. Part of me wishes I had just rescheduled.
