Denver Sisters?

Just wondering if there are any Denver sisters going through pre or post op right now. I could give and/or use support.

Thanks!

Denver Sisters?

Hi there! I am down here in Parker. Glad to have someone close by! I just hit 4 weeks post op two days ago. How are you feeling? Do you have help at home?

Hope you are feeling ok. TAH is not easy to go through!

Re: Denver Sisters?

I'm a mess to sum it up... Lol i have a daughter that's 7 and my boy is 2... So it's been pretty hard. My husband stayed home with me the first week. And my brother is staying with us to pretty much be Mr. Mom. My hubby works 8-9 m-s. So yeah... Lol just have to breath and know that it's going to get better.

I'm still in a great deal of pain.. And starting a few days ago my whole body hurts. Plus I have thus shock/tingly feel constant. Weird---

Re: Denver Sisters?

Oops... Some how pushed the button...

I did keep my ovaries. But think I have some hormone issues.

Anyways. :-) are you back up to your normal every day live, or still taking it easy? I don't know about you. But I'm getting really bored, and upset that I can't do anything. Grrrr my house is a mess.

If you don't mind me asking. Why did you have to have a hysterectomy? Are you doing and hormone replacement? And how are you feeling? :-)

Well my kids are out for a bit. So I'm gonna "try" and take a nap. :-) hope you have a wonderful day!

Jenny0hJenny

It's great to have you join us!

If you've not already done so, please check out our <link> Post-Op Support Forum where you'll find all the other ladies recovering from surgery, and feel free to start a new thread there if you have any concerns. (To start a new thread, just click on the "New Topic" button which is located at the top and bottom left of that forum’s main page, or by clicking here). We also have a Post-Op Page which is packed with information, too.

When you have a moment, it would be very helpful if you could tell us a little more by completing your Member Survey. This includes basic information such as why you had surgery, what type/which procedure and whether or not you kept your ovaries, etc. You can do that by visiting your User Control Panel, or by clicking here.

We’ll look forward to seeing you over on the hysterectomy support boards and hope you'll enjoy social, non-surgery topics and friendships here in Neighborhoods!

Re: Denver Sisters?

Hi Ladies

I'm in Durango and had a complete hysterectomy in September 2009. I was on Estradial pills for just over a year and feeling really good, then last month at my annual exam my DR decided that I should try something safer, that doesn't go through my liver. I'm on the Vivelle Dot and was having night sweats a couple of times a week. Now he has me adding an estadial gel every day. I'm on day 5 and having migraines most days - ugh. I'm just waiting it out for a few more days to see if my hormones level off.........

I have three children, two grand-daughters. My youngest is almost 20 - and we're officially empty nesters. I had my hysterectomy because of pre-cancerous cells in my cervix, migraines for over 20 years and was getting PMSy - ugh. I feel good otherwise, if they could only get my hormones right now!! I also had my gall bladder removed this last January - those two things were the best things I've ever done!

Good luck to you who are having surgery - it's a long recovery, but really worth it - I feel much better - no pms, periods, mood swings, and until recently, no migraines!!!
