LAVH: 10 days till surgery and 5 days late for AF

I am never late more than a day. This is just nuts and now giving me anxiety really really bad! I have made sure I am not pregnant. I havent had sex. This is just driving me nuts.

Aunt Flo likes to play tricks on us. I've read post after post from women concerned about bleeding just in time for their hyster...and it had arrived off schedule. Maybe yours wants to make sure it can be around for your surgery. Lucky you!

Could it be the anxiety is causing aunt flo to be late, not the other way around?

I agree with Pat...it's probably due to stress. Also, I know for my pre-op bloodwork, they checked serum hcg levels to be sure I wasn't pregnant.

I was spotting before I had my surgery (and was scared it'd be cancelled) but it was no problem at all.

Well that sucks hopefully it is just the anxiety causing it. Although it may be the fluctuating hormones as well at least that is what my doc said when i asked her why all of a sudden my last one was 12 days late? Although i wasn't complaining as ii had been getting them every 2 - 3 weeks so the extra 12 days was a god send. But i got it that very day about an hour after i talked to her.

Mother Nature can sure put us in the tail swind can't she! I wont miss her a bit!

my cycle was late this month and my bleeding was different. I think It was due to stress as well, hang in there. I hear they will still do the surgery even if your on your cycle to that is good
